Brilliant! Our greyhound Rocky had been freezing outside our house for maximum 2 hours at a time and this had been going on everyday for at least two months! We tried absolutely everything to get him to move but nothing would work! We were recommended Angela through the Greyhound Trust and she managed to fix this within an hours visit and now it takes no longer than a minute to get him in the house! I booked a one to one session with Angela to assist with my lovely labradoodle puppy, Hamish. The experience was fantastic from the moment I contacted her. Angela was approachable, flexible and efficient with booking a session.
From the moment Angela arrived at our house it was clear that she had a wonderful touch with dogs and was very knowledgeable. In 1.5 hours we covered all my concerns from mouthing/biting, recall, jumping up, recreational barking and crate training.
Angela’s techniques are based upon positive reinforcement which was important to me. I found that there was no need to repeat commands or tell Hamish to “stop”, which had previously been so demoralising for me and probably not great for Hamish either.
I was able to put the techniques Angela taught me into practice straightaway and I was astounded by how effective they were, so quickly. Within 24 hours my relationship with Hamish was transformed and we have continued to build upon that ever since thanks to Angela.
I only wish I had contacted Angela sooner and recommend everyone books a one to one session with her in the early stages of having a puppy to start on the right footing.
I had attended other puppy training classes (small group sessions) with Hamish before contacting Angela and I must say that not all trainers are the same and advice we were given elsewhere from trainers caused more problems than it solved.
Angela also gave me a really useful puppy training guide which I read from cover to cover and still refer to - her services are great value for money.

Within half an hour my Labrador Brent was walking beautifully on the lead and found ways to reduce the reactivity.

We can highly recommend Angela from Greatest K9 having recently sought her help to curb some behaviours that our Goldendoodle, had developed over the last 18 months or so - the most pressing one being barking at anything and everything that came within earshot of our home.
Angela clearly has both vast knowledge and experience which enabled her to diagnose the problem on her first visit and to guide us on the changes we needed to make to eliminate the excessive barking.
The impact of the changes Angela recommended were immediate and transformative. The barking has stopped and he is now an altogether much calmer and more relaxed doodle. We had not dared hope that something that had become so ingrained (he is 4 years old) could be solved so quickly and simply. Angela's second visit has been equally as valuable on a broader range of subjects. Her advice is always simple to follow, logical and successful. We have rescued a giant mixed breed dog (~1year old) in December and were really struggling with her being really disobedient and boisterous, which due to her size was becoming more and more of a problem. We booked Angela after our friend had her first sessions with her and could not recommend her enough. And we completely agree! Within just 2 sessions we have seen a major difference in our dog. We reached out to Angela for 1-to-1 sessions and classes after really struggling with Crumble’s behaviour (anxiety/nervousness, excessive mouthing, bad lead walking, destructive behaviour etc). Angela has been amazing in every session. She is so knowledgeable and effective with her training.
Most importantly, she’s helped us understand the reasons behind Crumble’s behaviour, what we can do to prevent/change certain behaviours, explained what’s normal/to be expected with working breeds and helped us understand what we were doing right/wrong without any judgement. In every session Angela has given us clear instructions and practical tips which since implementing have completely changed Crumble’s behaviour. When we had our first one-on-one session with Angela, it was eye-opening. She has an innate ability to understand problematic behaviour and teach you the correctional tools in a no-nonsense, non-judgemental way. In one session, we went from feeling lost with little control, to confidently going forward with a bespoke plan of action.
Her puppy and dog classes then give you the opportunity to hone your training skills in a group environment. Everyone is in the same boat, and the sense of community helps you practice and develop without fear of failure.

We highly recommend Greatest K9! Mr Blue (Dalmatian) was adopted 7 months ago at age of 2 . He had no idea how to behave on the lead, constantly pulled and was reacting to other dogs. Angela’s vast knowledge and advice had given me the confidence to raise my first ever puppy. I started with three 121 sessions and was provided with many activities, training ideas as well as breed specific information. We had a Behaviour Consultation for our two year old Dachshound that has been struggling with lead walking and separation anxiety and our experience with Angela was just amazing! We had a one on one session with Angela where she evaluated the behaviour of our three dogs and then wrote us a detailed report on how to go about changing some unwanted behaviours. During the hour session in our home Angela managed to get the dogs to do things we never thought possible (waiting patiently for a command to eat, when a food bowl was in front of them) and then a few days later we received a report on how to address lots of other issues. I'm very pleased to say that our dogs are now behaving so much better and me and my wife feel that we have control of them rather than being the other way round. Recall, walking calmly on a lead, not jumping up at guest and staying off the sofa's are all areas we have seen massive improvement. Angela's advice has been invaluable and i would definitely recommend her. I first heard of Angela when a friend bought a Border Collie puppy and remembered how he enthused what an amazing dog trainer she was and how she stopped him getting into bad habits from the outset. So, when I was mad enough to buy two male (brother) Working Cocker Spaniel puppies, I booked Angela for 3 puppy training sessions at my home to start 3 days after we bought them home and she immediately had an impact on us and them. She is so calm, encouraging and makes the training (the humans get trained!!) so simple and completely common sense. I would highly recommend Angela. She helped me with my Border Collie cross puppy Magic. As a first time puppy owner I felt quite overwhelmed but Angela explained the reasons for Magic’s behaviour to me, and how to channel her working breed energy positively. The training also put my mind at rest because I was reassured that everything about her behaviour is completely normal and to be expected.
The things that were most valuable and that Angela helped me manage/explained to me in one Skype and one in person meeting were:
- How to manage extreme puppy biting/hanging on clothes
- How to play and with what items to play to avoid biting people
- How to teach a puppy to settle without being in the crate
- The importance of regular sleep time for puppies and how to create a clear structure
- How to correct a puppy when biting and other unwanted behaviour gets out of control
- How to build confidence and calmness outside on the lead before moving on to the next level of obedience training
- How long and what to train with a puppy and what an appropriate exercise schedule is
- Managing my own expectations and being reassured that her progress to date is sufficient
I got far more out of the two sessions than I ever expected, and it has allowed me to train my puppy with consistency and confidence, thus improving the relationship with her. As we progress I will definitely be seeking Angela’s help again. - Sabine
We have recently adopted a rescue dog and needed some guidance. Angela gave us insight about the breed. We were trying to train a hound in the same way we did with our Labrador! It was not working! Angela observed the dogs at the house and told us what we were doing wrong and how to correct it. She did the same when we take our walk outside in the park. In the two days which followed the consultation, I could already see a big difference and I am quickly building a bond with my dog. Angela has such a lovely calm approach to my 7 month old Labrador. He was turning into bit of a lad, running up to other dogs and lunging on the lead. So I booked 3 sessions at home. Thank you so much to Angela for all of her hard work working with us to train our 8 month old dachshund, Bear. My partner and I have spoken about finding a dog trainer as this is our first dog and we just needed a bit of help to train him properly. And I’m so glad we did!! This was probably the best money we’ve spent on Bear as now he’s very calm and well behaved. We highly recommend Angela. She’s very kind and adaptable to certain topics that we needed to focus more on. I was slightly nervous about taking Bear out on public transport as he does still whine now and then. We booked a set of 3 1-2-1 sessions with Angela for our 15 week old cockapoo puppy, Teddy. Angela was absolutely wonderful. She responded the same day to our initial contact and was able to schedule a visit within the same week. Over the 1hr and a half, she talked through with us all the issues we were having with puppy training our 13 week old dachshund and was extremely knowledgeable in explaining key details relevant to our puppy's age and breed. There was a lovely mix of her modelling how to interact with our puppy, as well as coaching us on how to pair commands to behaviour. She left us with a puppy training guide and has provided email support since our session.
Both my partner and I feel so much more confident in how to train our puppy and she has made absolutely stunning progress. For example, she sleeps through the night in her crate without needing to go out for the toilet and we are much better at watching the warning signs of when she needs to go out in the day. Our puppy has become more independent, listens to command and her recall has developed massively.

I recently contacted Angela regarding my 18 week old whippet/lurcher. We where having some guarding issues and general nipping/jumping problems. I was desperate for some reassurance and guidance and Angela absolutely put me at ease, all my concerns and worries she helped with lots of information and techniques regarding training. Having someone come to your home to see your puppy and how he acts in his home environment is a god send, everything felt very relaxed.

After comparing a few dog training classes online, we discovered Greatest K9 - Angela's Puppy classes through "Bark" .
My daughter and I took our non stop growing Lab cross - Eddie - to puppy classes, then after a little more growing had been done we attended the adult classes.
Eddie has thrived in all of these classes. Angela maintained a calm, fun, and controlled atmosphere and environment for the dogs (and owners) to learn key communication skills. I'd recommend that anyone who has a new puppy or dog to attend Angela's classes as it has really helped deepen our communication and bond with Eddie. Should we have any issues with Eddie as he matures I won't hesitate to contact Angela.

We came across Greatest K9 after signing up to Angela's 6-week puppy class. Our Rescue Dog Mabel learnt all aspects of training. From walking nicely on a lead, Sit, down, wait... The list goes on. Further to completing the course, we had a nice long break before signing up to the 6-week Adult class. Mabel is a much calmer, more focused dog now. If you’re looking for advice and reassurance in training your dog, I highly recommend Angela. Within half an hour of my enquiry, Angela had replied with a ‘no pressure’, friendly and personalised email with full details of her services. I was able to book a consultation for the next morning where she came to my home to meet me and my puppy and spent 90 minutes with us answering any questions and giving a huge variety of tips and techniques. I wanted help specifically with crate training and Angela seemed to have a wealth of knowledge and experience in this.
